What does trim video do?

Set a start and end and keep that part. Change the aspect ratio too if you like.

Pull a section out of a long recording with to-the-second precision. Keep the ratio or turn it vertical.

What does trimming without re-encoding mean?

If the cut points land on keyframes, the video is cut without re-encoding: it takes seconds and the quality stays identical. If a cut point falls between keyframes, that part is re-encoded, which is what the quality setting is for.

Need several ranges from the same recording? Queue each one as its own job; the source is downloaded once and the rest read from the cache.

How does processing work?

When you give us a link, we don't download the whole video. We fetch only the audio first, so even hour-long recordings start fast. Video is downloaded only for the ranges that are actually needed.

Your job joins the queue and moves step by step; the dashboard shows which step it's on. If you start several jobs from the same source, it's downloaded once and later jobs read from the cache.

Privacy and storage

Source files are kept for a while only so you can re-render, then deleted automatically; they're never used to train models. Your exports stay in your account until you delete them. If you connect a social account we never see your password: you sign in through each platform's own authorization window and access tokens are stored encrypted.

Output and quality

Exports are 1080 pixels on the short side; on the Studio plan they go up to 2160 pixels (4K). If the source is lower, nothing is artificially upscaled and the real output resolution is shown. All tools share the same nine aspect ratios and nine caption styles.
