What is a gang sheet?

A gang sheet is a print file with many DTF designs laid out side by side on one roll or sheet. Print shops usually charge by the meter or foot, so the tighter the designs are packed, the shorter the roll and the cheaper the print.

This tool nests your designs to the roll width, leaves a cutting gap between them and rotates them when that gives a shorter length. No more aligning them one by one in Photoshop.

How does the nesting work?

  • You enter each design's print width in centimeters and how many to print
  • Large designs go first, small ones fill the gaps
  • With rotation on, a design is turned 90 degrees when it fits better
  • Spacing between designs and the roll margin are set in millimeters
  • A new sheet starts when the length limit is reached

Roll widths

22 inch (55.9 cm), 24 inch (61 cm), 58 cm, 60 cm and A3 (30 cm) are built in; if your printer is different, type your own width. Enter your price per meter and the estimated print cost is calculated instantly.

PNG or PDF?

The PNG is a single transparent image tagged at 300 DPI; multiple sheets download as a ZIP. In the PDF each design is embedded only once, so the file stays small even for rolls several meters long, and RIP software opens it directly.

Resolution check

When you print a design large, you see the DPI the source image drops to at that size. Designs below 200 DPI are flagged so you can use a larger source before printing. Images with no transparent area are flagged too: run them through the background remover first.

Which files are accepted?

  • PNG, JPG and WEBP; transparent PNG gives the best result
  • Up to 60 MB and 25 megapixels per image
  • Background remover results are added in one click
  • Output: 300 DPI PNG or multi-page PDF

Privacy and storage

Your designs are kept for 30 days, then deleted automatically; they are never used for model training.

FAQ

Is it on the free plan?

No, the gang sheet builder is on paid plans. It doesn't use your minutes.

How much space should I leave between designs?

For hand cutting, 5–6 mm is a good start. With an automatic cutter, 3 mm may be enough.

Are designs rotated?

If you want. With rotation on, a design is turned 90 degrees where that gives a shorter roll; turn it off and everything stays upright.

Which file will my RIP software open?

Most RIPs open both the 300 DPI PNG and the PDF. For long rolls the PDF is smaller and faster.

Can I add a design with a white background?

You can, but the white background will print too. Run it through the background remover first, then add the result here in one click.
